Prevention of diabetes

If you have a family history or other risk factors for diabetes or if you have been diagnosed with prediabetes, there are a number of healthy living tips you can follow to prevent or delay the onset of diabetes. Currently, type 1 diabetes is not preventable. However, studies have shown that type 2 diabetes can be prevented by adopting lifestyle changes that include by losing weight, eating a healthy diet and exercising. Through our Metanoia Newhealth Programme we can prevent or postpone diabetes.

Diabetes complications can lead to serious illness and even death, which is why prevention is so important. Long-term diabetic complications are the result of one or more parts of your body becoming damaged as a result of diabetes.
